Princess

Sometimes, it seems that the second and subsequent children somehow get the short end of the stick when it comes to photos, videos, extra curricular activities and so on...I haven't completed very many pages in Danielle's first year (baby) album...well, let me be honest, I have only done a handful of pages whereas I have completed oodles and oodles of pages in Madison's first 4 years! LOL I found this birth day picture of Danielle and decided that when I do her baby album, I'll at least have an opening page! LOL

Supplies:  Bazzill (cardstock); Imaginesce (pattern paper, rubs); Kaiser (pearls); Prima (gem flourishes); unknown (calendar circle); ribbon  (Savvy n Sassy)

It's Harder Than I Thought

It finally happened...Danielle has lost her first tooth. I don't know who cried more, me or her.

And to rub salt in the wound...I say to Danielle every morning..."Morning Baby Baby" and she said with her hands on her hips..."Mommy...I am not a baby anymore...I lost a tooth!" Eeek!!!

...sniff, sniff...

Scrappy stuff tomorow ...

I Am SO Proud!!!

I am SO darn proud of my little Danielle! She was selected as Perroquet this month, meaning, Danielle was chosen as the student in her class who worked the hardest and spoke the most French. She was invited to a special lunch with the Principal. Today was the lunch!

Lunch with the Principal, Mme. Celia Barrington, was a pizza lunch. For most kids, that would be a dream lunch but not so for Danielle who doesnt particularly like pizza. Luckily, Ì packed a ham ghost-shaped sandwich, cantelope, strawberries and some graham teddy bear crackers. Danielle was so happy to have an alternative and this is just one thing that makes her so special:-)

Just look at this sweet face...

Is it any wonder why I am sooooo proud???

Danielle has had a pretty special day...and she is one special girl who happens to sing Emilie elephant va ala ecole pretty darn good!

Thanks for dropping by! Check back this weekend to see some scrappy goodness from this weekend's Must See TV online crop at Scrap Shotz!

5 Years Ago Today!

I can't believe that just 5 years ago, my sweetie pie, my little Stampede Princess and my baby was welcomed into our family.

Here she was on her birth day...

And here is my sweetheart today...

And here are my top 5 faves about Danielle:

1. When you smile, your eyes twinkle and you have a little tiny giggle.
2. You love Playmobil and can play it for hours on end. I especially love your vignettes that you share with me every day!
3. You love almost every fruit there is - blueberries, nectarines (the naked peach!), apricots, plums, strawberries and cantelope to name a few!
4. You cannot sleep without Pinkie and blankie - I just wish you would keep them together during the day so we don't spend an hour every day looking for them!
5. And my very very favorite is you tell me every single day, many many times a day, that you love me...and I love you too very very much sweet pea!

My Baby Has Turned 4 Today!!!

I have been kinda dreading this day for awhile...and I know that I cannot stop time but I just didn't want my baby to turn 4 yrs old! Irrational I know - but I have loved her as a sweet, cuddly baby and an exuberant and oh-so-happy-go-lucky 2 yr old (no terrible 2's for us!) and an impy adorable 3 yr old...so why would I want to change any of this? Danielle has been my little shadow since day 1 and she is so affectionate, happy, smiley and cuddly; what more could a Mommy want? So that is why I didn't want her to turn 4 even though I know life with her can only get more exciting and interesting. Tonight Dominic reminded me that in this next year we will see big big changes in Danielle as she moves from the toddler/preschool stage into her preparations of entering kindergarten. I am definitely sad and will shed many a tear when she starts kindergarten. So here is a picture of my baby taken just a few days ago - look at face! Wouldn't you want a wet smoochy kiss and bear hug from her?

So for Danielle's birthday, we spent the day doing whatever we wanted (or strongly suggested by me!) Danielle had the traditional birthday pancakes with chocolate chips - I shook up a bit by adding bananas but they were definitely not a hit! LOL After dropping Madison off at camp, we had a hot chocolate/caramel macchiato at Starbucks and headed to the Farmers' Market. The hours changed so we went to the scrapbook store for a bit of browsing! Then we went back to the Farmers Market to shop for real this time. And how cute was she? Well, she "helped" me get groceries with her Little Tikes shopping cart and we wandered around the market. A highly enjoyable day!

More escapades to report tomorrow - too tired now! Thanks for checking in!
