Better Late Than Never!!!

My advent calendar and progressive card challenge is arriving late - so sorry! I have been spending way way too much time at the HPTP clinic. (No definitive diagnosis yet - and hope to be feeling much better soon!) And a word about the fairies...no the remaining 4 boxes of the Advent Calendar never showed up...sigh... (Papers are Anna Griffin...yes, from back in the day! Aren't they perfect for a vintage Christmas?)

And here is my take on the progressive card challenge...each card was made using only scraps from my offcut bin! (And finding the papers was a challenge itself!)

(Supplies: Scrap Shotz January 2008 and September 2008 kits; Martha Stewart decorative punch; Bazzill cardstock.)

(Supplies: Tinkering Ink papers; Queen & Company chipboard letters; ribbon and chipboard sentiment - Scrap Shotz monthly kit club.)

(Supplies: Papers: Tinkering Ink (red/pink squares); KI Memories; Chipboard - Chatterbox; Fiskars Threading Water Punch; EK Success letter stickers - aren't they just a blast from the past??? LOL)

(Supplies: Scrap Shotz January 2008 and September 2008 monthly kits; Ranger ink)

Thanks for dropping by! I will be posting the Scrap Shotz November kit reveal this coming week! Check out the Prudence line by Crate Paper - if you can believe it, it is even more beautiful in real life!

A Colourful Life

As promised, here is my last challenge for Scrap Shotz's Colour Your World crop: I did a Stained Glass Challenge. My layout is below.

And it isn't too late to join! You have until tomorrow (Tues Oct 21) to upload your challenges to be eligible for the fabulous Scrap Shotz prizes.

Yes, I will upload my progressive card challenge and the Advent Calendar (or what is left of it!) in the next couple of days...apparently a fairy took the decorated boxes!...sigh...

So wish me luck everyone! I am going back to the clinic tomorrow morning for some follow-up. As you know I have been battling a super mega nasty strepp infection and have been on an IV pump for 31 days...sigh...and it is getting kinda old. I just really need to know that I am getting better...and right now, I am not feeling the best so I haven't created too much. So please wish me luck and maybe say a wee bit of a prayer for me, ok?

Thanks for dropping by!

It's an Upsy Daisy Day!!!

I woke up and realized that my IV line was going sour and after dropping Danielle off at preschool, I beetled on over to HPTP. Within 40 minutes they were able to find another suitable IV site and boy was I happy! So happy that I felt myself doing the happy dance!

And today through a friend, I found out I was picked as a Guest DT for Upsy Daisy Designs! Check out the announcement here! I am so excited to have this opportunity and have you seen their new products? OMG, it is luscious!

Thanks for letting me share my good news!

It's World Cardmaking Day Today!

Join me at Scrap Shotz for a mini card crop! The challenges are unbelievable! Check them out here! Cards are a challenge to me as there is so much I want to add but I have such a tiny canvas! And I love cards that have an interesting technique or twist to it! Check out my challenges - they are the Double Flap Card and the Origami Christmas Tree. I've added lots of pictures for illustration purposes so I hope you give it a whirl!

Here is my Double Flap Card -

And here is my Origami Christmas Tree Card - this is one of my all time favorite cards because I love how the Christmas tree begs you to touch it!

I am a bit late posting for World Cardmaking Day because I spent the day at the hospital...again! Grrr! My strepp infection just won't go away and now I am being treated for MSRA...sigh...and yes, you guessed it, I am back on the IV pump...guess I was feeling a bit naked without it! LOL Things will get better and this will just be a funny story later on but right now, it is rather inconvenient! LOL

Thanks for dropping by! I really really appreciate it!

Reveal Day at Scrap Shotz!!!

Yesterday was kit reveal day at Scrap Shotz and let me say, the projects from the new and old Design Team members were outstanding! Outstanding, I say! My projects were not revealed on October 1 because I was the Kit Insert girl this month...but I can share them all here!

One of my favorite things in the kit was the October Afternoon mini book. Goodness, it was so easy to alter and make, just a mere hour and it was done! Now I definitely want to go back to add some quotes and thoughts...and yes, some bling but here is the cover and a snippet of the inside!

And here are a few layouts using that gorgeous Fancy Pants Daily Grind papers...

And lastly, I used my scraps to make a cute treat bag...I am thinking of making a bunch of these to give away at school for the girls...

Thank you for stopping by!
