Oh What a Day!

It was quite the way to start the morning, I'll say! LOL As Madison was leaving for school, she mentioned that her neck was sore. Dominic looks and there are bulging lymph nodes! So no school until we get it checked out. In the meantime, I have to get Danielle to preschool and cancel my physio appointment. With all the changes in the Calgary Health Region, the receptionist just could not connect me to the right department. Needless to say, I was frustrated! And at the end of it all, I drove a total of 4 hours this morning rather than my usual 40 minutes to and from preschool.

Let me share a few projects that I have done. The first is the digi challenge for Scrap Shotz. Details of the challenge can be found here. And here is my layout..

And a fun layout using the June Scrap Shotz kit - I love the bright bold American Crafts' paper and accessories...

And of course, a few first day of school photos for you! Here is Madison with her neighbourhood girlfriend...they just don't look 8 yrs old to me! LOL

And here is Danielle - she was sooooooooooo excited about starting at her "new" school! As you can see, she put on her best of everything - her kit kat head band, necklace, ball gown, sparkle shoes and her beloved Pinkie!

Thanks for dropping by! In the next week, I will post my mid-month challenges at Scrap Shotz! Have a super duper day!

Twas the Night Before School

...the girls were in bed...not quite sleeping but for sure in bed! LOL

The last two weeks of August have been a blur of activity - it's just busy, busy, busy. Hence no blog entries! This is going to be long post with lots of pictures...so grab a cup of tea and get comfy, ok?

Today is September 1 and it is reveal day at Scrap Shotz. This month's kit is "In the Meadow" by Daisy Bucket. This kit is jam packed with goodies. It is so versatile and easy to work with - you can see my projects below! And watch in the coming weeks for my reveal of the new Piggy Tales book - I am so excited! So here are my projects to date - there is one more on my desk that I just have to put the finishing touches on!

And how will you know if I was on vacation if I didn't share a few favorite photos? :-) So here we go...

First, what we did every single day...yup, swimming, sitting by the pool and getting our Vitamin D for the year!

Of course, I have to show you how much my girls have grown - first, Danielle. Here she is on one of our walks. I love how the sun bounces off her favorite purple hat - not really purple but that is what she calls it and sometimes reasoning doesn't work on a 4 yr old! LOL

And my Madison...doesn't this picture capture the passing of the elementary school girl age? Can't you just see how the young lady in her is ready to burst to the surface?

And one of the highlights of the trip was roasting marshmallows over a bonfire. Those marshmallows never tasted better!

And perhaps, the photo that sums up our vacation the best - the bonding and solidifying of the cousins' relationship. I love this photo and it definitely goes into my favorite photos folder.

Well, that's about it for tonight! I better make lunches for tomorrow! Thanks for dropping by!
