The July Scrap Shotz kit is called Day Trippin' and features the Traveller line from Little Yellow Bicycle. And let me say, the add ons this month were spectacular. Every month I say, "Do I really need this?" And every month, I talk myself into, "Of course I need it!" LOL
Here are the layouts that I created with this awesome kit!
Here is a picture of Danielle. We were walking on the pathways by the house and it was the last hill to climb. And Danielle was getting tired and just getting plain tired of the hills. She just wanted some "lemonlade" and a rest. Now how cute is this picture? It is one of my favorites of her!
The compass is an embossed sticker on glossy paper that I cut out, inked the spiky edges and propped up with pop dots. And my new toy is the Fiskars Upper Crest border punch - I love that thing!

It seems that the word "Staycation" is the new buzz word of the recession. I have always wanted to take pictures of Danielle with her shopping cart and I got my wish outside the Cochrane Safeway store. Danielle came with me to my Home Care appointment and afterwards we went for hot chocolate...yummers!
I must say that the patterns and colours of these papers are phenomenal. They literally work with any type of photo in any season.
Now here is an example of using wintery photos with these papers. It just seemed so natural to pair them with Danielle's ski school photos. And the word stickers and rub ons and chipboard elements are PL-EN-TI-FUL so I just had to intersperse them with my journaling!
In Armchair Traveller, I captured fun pictures of Danielle talking about going to kindergarten in the fall and about all the future vacations that she dreamed of. She is a little rascal and I will miss her dearly this fall.
And lastly, one of my all time favorite layouts - Detour. Why? I love the colours and the shape of the paper - my dilemna was...do I do the obvious and name it Route 66 or go for something off the beaten track? Well off the beaten track won because these were pictures of Danielle's walk with me as we ventured off on a new leg of the pathway, our own detour!
Thanks for dropping by!
