Scrapbooks etc. - Got Sketch #15

One of the coolest things being a Got Sketch Girl is being able to create layouts for Scrapbooks etc blog. First of all, I love Val's sketches and having them posted on the Scrapbooks etc blog is literally a big giant rush!

Here is one of the quickest sketches I have ever created from...and gosh is it ever versatile!

Purple Reigns!!!!

For a long time now, Danielle has been enamoured with the colour purple. Her closet is filled with purple outfits, purple sweaters and purple socks! Even her room is purple, as in 97% purple! LOL

For Halloween, Danielle wanted to be a beautiful fairy princess. Well, a beautiful fairy princess must be dressed in a gown that matches her station :-) And, a store bought Halloween costume wasn't quite enough. So what's a Mom to do? Well, I think it is pretty obvious; don't you? Sew one of course!

And here is my munchkin with the finished dress - isn't she oh so sweet? OK I guess I am partial! :-)

Got Sketch #132

Got Sketch #126

Got Sketch #126 is fabulous - it really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I am a person who is seriously addicted to pattern paper. Knowing I needed to keep my pattern paper quantities at a minimum had a me momentarily paralyzed. This sketch made me think of how I construct my layouts; I learned alot about my creative methods in the process.

Wow! Another 2-Pager!

These days my scrappy time is limited; consequently I infrequently create 2-pagers. I know, I know, not a great excuse but I have no idea why I do not pick create alot of 2-pagers???

Having said that, Valerie Salmon of Got Sketch whipped up this fantastic 2-page sketch that I absolutely could not resist interpreting.

Smash Books

I love Smash books and have been smashing alot these past few months! Let's face it, I love all the doodads that coordinate with the books, the dual adhesive pen, the funky pages of the notebook...and that I finally have a home for all my memorabilia!
