Got Sketch 107 Sketch #6

Sketch #6 from Valerie Salmon's Got Sketch 107 class is what I call a quick and easy sketch. It is like the Little Black Dress every woman has in her closet. It look stunning on its own but is dynamite with a few accessories! LOL

Scrapbooking Pressure???

Have you ever felt pressure or anxiety when scrapping? Are there certain photos and/or events that you are apprehensive about scrapping or have not scrapped? If so, you are not alone! Me too!

15 years later and I still haven't scrapped my wedding! Why? I am worried about doing justice to my wedding photos and memories. Birthday photos...a similar feeling but not so paralyzing! Recently, after 12 years of birthday photos, I realized I needed to get over my fear and start scrapping!

So....guess what? Yup, I have some birthday layouts to share...yeah, me!!! To start off the birthday layout parade, I have a double pager of Danielle's 5 year birthday party which showcases the yummy BoBunny collection. It was my interpretation of Valerie Salmon's Sketch #122...which can be found here.

Meet Miss Personality

I take a whole lot of photos and I print a whole lot of photos. It would probably not come as a surprise to you to learn that I sometimes forget what photos I have available to scrap! LOL Imagine how happy I was to find these photos to scrap one day!

My youngest daughter is a fun loving child who is happy 99% of the time. She is a very emotive little girl and quite frankly I love that about her! It is only fitting that I create a layout about her sweet ebullient personality!

Scrapping with Scraps!

Recently I started a new feature on the Scrap Shotz blog titled Scrapping with Scraps. It came about one day as I was cleaning my off cuts bin and desk! All I had were bits and pieces of a favorite Scrap Shotz kit. Rather than toss out or recycle the bits and pieces, I challenged myself to make a layout using the scraps. Here is the result! It is based off sketch #98 created by Valerie Salmon of Got Sketch.

The Everyday

There are days when I wish I led a more exciting life; do you ever have days like that? It isn't that I don't appreciate my life; not at all. Some days it is easy for me to get bogged down in the quagmire of everyday - school lunches, homework, after school activities, cleaning, laundry and working outside of the home! What is so exciting about that? Nothing, really...

But then I'll look back at layouts and mini albums I have created of my every day life and I find myself grinning from ear to ear. Why??? Because my life may not be glamorous or exciting to me some days or even to others but I am nonetheless grateful for what I have, for the people I spend my day to day with and for the experiences and memories I have had. That is what scrapbooking is all about for me; knowing that is exciting!

So here is a little bit more of my every day life to share...here we have the oh so cute and impish princess!
