I Love You

Short on time but still want to let the special people in your life know that you love them? Try these Peek-a-Boo cards that I made for a challenge at the Scrap Shotz Passion for Fashion crop.

Honestly, these cards took maybe 15 minutes each to make. The hardest part was lining up the chipboard alphas! LOL

Show Your Love

Valentine's Day is a fun day in our house. I try to do fun things to show the girls I love them...and it eases my guilt for all the times that I get frustrated with them! LOL (I have to at least try to win Mom of the Year! hee hee)

Here are two super quick projects that I am doing for the girls this year. And I am SO ahead of the game that I have them finished already!


I know my girls love little notes in their lunch kits or on their pillow or frankly, scattered throughout the house. These little note cards with a teeny bit of stamping do just the trick. Plus, it lets me use up all those scraps in my offcut bin too!

I also like to make heart shaped foods on Valentine's Day and what better way to serve them than with an "I Love You" napkin! 5 seconds to make and 5 hours of enjoyment!

This Face Is Cute

One of my challenges at the recent Scrap Shotz Passion for Fashion crop was the 80's Bigger is Better challenge. Here I challenged crop participants to create a layout or card adding dimension to at least one element on their project. Personally I love pop dots and I love love love the texture it gives to my layout or card. (Yes I do use alot of pop dots! LOL)

I love these photos of Danielle - she is such a happy kid and loves to ham it up for the cameras as you can see here.

Scrap Shotz Gives Back

One of the things I love most about Scrap Shotz's online crops is that there is a challenge where $5 of each participant is donated to a charity of choice. The charity for the Passion for Fashion crop was The Red Cross for Haiti Relief. An extremely wonderful charity I would say!

Here is my layout for the charity/challenge:

It's a fun layout for me as I love these pictures of Danielle. Give the girl a pair of goggles, a set of rockets and she is happy for hours on end in the pool. And come on, she is one darn cutie patootie!

Sketch #96

I was so thrilled that Valerie Salmon asked me to contribute to her blog for Sketch #96. There is just something so special about Valerie and her sketches. Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Chinese New Year

This year, Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year fall on the same day. I guess we will have a heart-shaped piece of Peking Duck! LOL

My Valentine's cards this year are clean and simple, straight to the point in fact. Here they are.

No matter what language, "I Love You" means the same!

These cards are very easy to make. With a punch or die cut machine, cut a heart from the top layer. Pop up the top layer and adhere to bottom pattern paper layer. Using your alphas, add sentiment. Voila!
